Presents For Me?

My sister-in-law-to-be is just too sweet! I offered to make thank you cards for her & my little brother for their wedding shower, and she thanked me with a beautiful flower arrangement! How sweet! I got a gift for giving a gift! That makes me smile!

Bingo Anyone?

For our family Christmas party, I was put in charge of games. We tried to steer the kids away from the video games, but in the end, the video games won. I made twenty-four Bingo cards and coordinating Bingo chips. I used the design from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini, with just a few minor changes. We used miscellaneous green, red & white buttons for markers.

Could It Be True?

Happy 40th birthday to me!

Yes, according to my birth certificate, I'm 40 years old today. I'm pretty sure I'm still 12. I like being 12! It's more fun than 40!

A Card for Baby Cam

As usual, the night before I had to attend a baby shower, I realized I didn't have a card. I ran to the Mom Cave and tried to find some inspiration. I then realized, I have very little stamps for baby cards. I dug around in the box of retired goodies, and I found my inspiration! After picking out some good baby New colors, I dug out the Sizzix and the Cuttlebug folders and found yet more inspiration. The card still needed a littls something, so I broke down and finally used my stash of buttons. And for a finishing touch, I added some Stickles to the sail.

Happy, Happy Thank You Cards

My baby brother is getting married this spring, and I I offered to make thank-you cards. His bride-to-be likes bright, fun colors and together, we came up with this great card. I started by stamping the umbrella image in three separate colors, Rick Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, and Melon Mambo.

The next step was to cut out each piece and make sure I had enough of each "side" piece. I started off by stamping full images, and then realized it would be much easier to just stamp the "side" I need.

Next, I glued all three umbrella pieces to together, and finished up by stamping the umbrella handle. I used an extra "center" piece as a masking tool.

And here's what it looked like somewhere in the middle of the assembly line!

Tah-dah! They are all done! All 100 thank you cards!

Stamps: SU Thank You Kindly, PTI Scattered Showers
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Basic Black
Card stock: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Rick Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Embellishments: SU Scalloped Border Punch, Misc ribbon

This was one of the original prototypes. In the end, I think the yellow base really made this card pop!

Get Well Soon

This card makes me smile. My inspirations came from this card on Splitcoaststampers.com. I changed a few things, but I was very inspired by Robin Lee's design. I really like the sentiment she used, but I already used that on a different card, and both cards will be a gift. Yes, this is another card made in multiples. Twenty eight to be exact! Thank goodness it was fun to make!

Pastel Thank You

I have to admit, this is a card that did not end up like the idea I had in my head. I hate when that happens! I wanted to add a thank you card to the shower gifts, and I became very stuck, and this is what evolved from the original idea. I made 30 of these cards. It is nice to be able to use up some retired card stock. Though Stampin' Up may not make it anymore, it doesn't mean it's not good paper. At least that's my opinion!
